Attend this 30-minute free information session to learn about Parent-Child Interaction (PCI) Feeding and Teaching Scales and how this training and assessment can help your practice.

What are the Parent-Child Interaction (PCI) Feeding and Teaching Scales?

  • PCI is about careful observation.  More than anything else, it’s about watching the nonverbal communication of the child and parent and understanding how they interact together. Becoming a careful observer is a critical skill for assessment.
  • The Scales are valid and reliable assessments for measuring parent-child interactions with an extensive body of research across disciplines.
  • They serve as a well-developed set of observable behaviors that describe caregiver/parent-child interaction in either a feeding or teaching situation.
  • They are excellent pre and post measures to document intervention effects for clinicians and researchers.
  • The scales have been used in hundreds of studies and published in peer-reviewed scholarly journals.

This open house will include a brief presentation followed by a question-and-answer time.
