Annelisa Tornberg, RN, BSN, IBCLC, IMH-E®(II) has worked in Maternal-Child Nursing for over 14 years. She began her career in high-risk labor and delivery and expanded her labor and delivery experience to community hospital birth centers working primarily with midwives in the Pacific Northwest and internationally in New Zealand. This led to her position as a Nurse Family Partnership home visitor with low-income, first-time mothers. Annelisa is endorsed in Infant Mental Health and is certified as an IBCLC Lactation Consultant. Along the way, she had two children. She enjoys filling her days off by traveling, skiing, sailing, and backpacking with her family. Annelisa’s greatest professional fulfillment is working with parents at the intersection of the tremendous and often stressful transition into parenthood. In her current position as an outpatient lactation consultant, she uses her infant mental health training as a foundation toward supporting successful breastfeeding and infant/parent bonding.
